Providing more than just money
The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis is interested in providing more than just financial resources in the community. Collaborative by nature, The Health Foundation also works with its grant recipients to identify relevant issues, connect organizations to one another, and create meaningful programs and interventions for low-income, underserved communities.
We currently focus our funding in three areas; childhood obesity, HIV/AIDS and school-based adolescent health. Our skilled program officers can assist you in organizing your grant application, making connections in the community that lead to better outcomes, and providing advice on other funding avenues to help sustain your program.
Click on any of the links below for more information about Grant Making. The Health Foundation is not accepting any unsolicited proposals in 2012.

The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis does not accept unsolicited proposals.
Prior to submitting a proposal, contact Betty H. Wilson, President & CEO, to determine if your program and proposal matches The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis' funding priorities and application guidelines.
If your intended proposal is appropriate, The Health Foundation will schedule a meeting to discuss your proposal in detail and explain the parameters for the remainder of the application process. This may include site visits, follow-up meetings and submission of a draft proposal.
After approval from the President & CEO or the Program Director, you will be asked to submit your proposal to the board of directors of The Health Foundation, following the guidelines provided. You may also be provided with a password that allows you to log on to the Grantee Resource Page of this Web site, which contains all the necessary application and reporting forms as well as a detailed timeline with application deadlines.
The board of directors will consider your grant request at a regularly scheduled board meeting. Based on the number of grant requests submitted and the discretion of the board, your proposal may not be considered for funding during the funding cycle you requested, but may be deferred to a later date.
The Health Foundation typically receives and reviews more proposals than it can fund. In the spirit of the community collaboration which we value, we've included these links to other organizations that serve Central Indiana that you might find helpful.
